I found a great BMW mechanic! I'm new to the Lenoir / Hickory North Carolina area and had recently purchased a used 2011 BMW X5 for my wife and was looking for a qualified BMW mechanic to provide service locally so I would not have to take it to the dealership in Charlotte or Asheville for service. Having owned numerous BMW's in the past I know that servicing them on a routine basis by a qualified mechanic is extremely important to maintain the performance and longevity of the vehicle. As such, I reached out to Christy to find out more about this shop prior to making an appointment. Christy was very informative and let me know about the history of the shop and the background of each of the mechanics. I scheduled an appointment with them to have the oil changed along with a normal service of the vehicle and as the vehicle was new to me, I asked Christy to do a good "once over" of the vehicle to check it out and to investigate a clunking noise in the suspension that had started shortly after buying the vehicle. As it turns out, the vehicle needed new struts and other suspension parts as they were simply worn out. Christy kept me informed throughout the repair and sent me photos of the various parts that needed to be replaced. While the repair bill was a bit steep, I know it would have been MUCH higher at the dealership. The vehicle drove pretty good prior to the repair, but the wife tells me it drives like a brand new Beemer now and she's extremely happy which as the saying goes, happy wife, happy life! I found my BMW mechanic!
